WhatsApp recently updated its privacy policy and, from the 8th of February 2021, will be sharing all the data its collected about you with Facebook.

With over 2 billion users worldwide, many people have been raising concerns about the new terms of service given that there no opt out option to the update. Effectively, in order to continue using the WhatsApp service, you need to agree to letting the app share your data with Facebook to be used for advertising.

In this video we’re talking about what you need to know about WhatsApp’s new privacy policy and what implications that has for you, as well as alternative messaging apps should you wish to make the switch.
